Topic 1: Your Teaching Approach
Which teaching approach best defines the style that you use most in your classroom - Teacher-Directed or Constructivist? Is this the style you prefer? What factors lead to you selecting this style?
Note: If you are not a classroom teacher, assume that your students are parents or teachers.

Topic 2: Microsoft Word Teaching Resources
Search the Internet using your preferred Search Engine. Locate 5 websites that provide Microsoft Word templates, lesson plans, clip art, or other instructional materials. Provide the name of the site, the URL, and a brief description.
This information should be submitted as a file attachment to your discussion board thread. Be sure to include your name in the subject of the thread. Use some of the document formatting we learned last week in class - font size and style, header, footer, etc.
Hint: If you are having trouble locating Word documents, add ".doc" to your search.

Topic 3: PowerPoint Presentations
What did you like, and dislike, about PowerPoint presentations that you have seen in the past? What do you think makes a presentation "good" and "bad", both from a content perspective and a design perspective?

Topic 4: Locate a Multimedia Resource
Locate a website that demonstrates the classroom use of multimedia. Identify the multimedia application used, the grade level, and the URL. Provide a description of the site and how it is being used by students and teachers.

Topic 5: Unique Internet Resource for the Classroom
Locate an Internet resource that can be used in your classroom for instruction. Identify:
- The resource name
- Where/how the resource can be accessed
- Hardware and software requirements
- Cost to use it, and
- A description of how it might be used in the classroom
Examples provided in class were podcasting, blogging, streaming video, and teleconferencing. There are many more to choose from.

Beginning on Friday - review the Good and Bad websites posted by your classmates. Which one was the best of the Good sites? Which was the worst of the Bad sites? Post your answer in the thread titled "Vote for the Best and Worst".

Fifteen lessons provide information on the fundamentals of multiplication.  One extremely useful part is printable flashcards.  If a student is having trouble with their 8’s, I can print these off and put them in an envelope for them to practice.

This is a resource list with multiple web sites linked with the GSA site.  Most of the sites are resources for Earth Science or related topics, however, are still worth searching through.  There are links to games such as PowerPoint jeopardy, science misconceptions, reference tables, satellite images, careers, flashcards, etc.
